With Halloween out the way we can now look forward to the festive season, and I am particularly excited about the arrival of this year’s famous Harrods Christmas Hampers. The lovely Harrods team sent me this beautiful basket full of traditional and unique treats to get my pantry fully stocked in preparation for Christmas.
Like me, my entire family are real foodies, so when I am stuck for present ideas I always head towards the food aisles in London’s favourite department stores to pick up delicious stocking fillers.
This year there are over 30 Harrods hampers to choose from… enjoy the simple indulgences of the ‘Champagne & Truffles’ set for £35, or go all out with the lavish ‘Ultimate’ hamper for £5000 (which has an amazing range of products and ingredients piled high in three wicker hampers!)
I absolutely love my Belgravia Hamper. Priced at £400 this luxurious hamper has a selection of fine wines, biscuits & cakes, jams & chutneys, teas and chocolates. It is a great size for a generous family Christmas with special and sophisticated products to suit each and every family member.
As I searched through my wondrous box I spotted a few items I think will particularly suit my family…
Raspberry & Rose Petal Preserve will be a hit with my mum who loves interesting flavoured jams to use in her baking. Sea-Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate is the perfect gift for my little sister who is addicted to hot chocolate drinks as a substitute to tea and coffee. My grandmother loves marmalade so I can’t wait to give her the regal ‘thick-cut’ Harrods version and for my dad… well he’d love the coffee, the wine or the high quality olive oil!
I’m excited about tucking into the rich biscuits and fine teas… I can’t think of anything more festive than settling down in the front of the fire, Christmas film on and a cup of the finest Harrods tea in hand.
