One of my best friends swears by Dermalogica products, and her skin always looks divine so I wanted to try the range for myself. Previously I have had bad experiences with prescriptive skin companies, but so far Dermalogica has left my skin glowing and blemish free.
Before selling the products, this company insist on a face mapping analysis so that the beauty routine and products are personalised to your skin type and needs. There are Dermalogica outlets in Westfield and One New Change, conveniently placed in shopping centres. I went along to Westfield to have a mini facial to determine which products would be best suited to me. Lying in the middle of the shopping mall corridor was a strange sensation… having my face massaged and pampered whilst shoppers dashed past and the annoying muzak blared.
The therapist at Dermalogica was very complimentary and pleased with my skin (obviously those occasional moisture masks have paid off). Just a few areas were noted as dehydrated or a little irritated. She also mentioned the broken capillary problem and touch sensitive skin on my cheeks which I have been told about before.
I was given a lovely cleansing and moisturising facial and then given a list of products and instructions for the lotions and potions I should use. With my new cleanser, toner, exfoliant, moisturiser, masque, concentrated boosters, targeted treatments, eye treatments, day light defence and tinted moisturiser my skin has been revolutionised. The best thing about the Dermalogica range? It is quick and easy to use… so for busy Londoners Dermalogica’s are the ideal products. My two favourite items are the toner which is just spritzed on and the exfoliator which comes in a powder form and is soft and gentle on the skin.
I’m really looking forward to seeing the results as I continue with the Dermalogica routine, so far my face feels fabulous!
