Hot on the Highstreet Week 176

This season it is ALL about wearing your heart on your sleeve, feet and, in fact every other inch of your body with Burberry’s Prorsum’s emblematic collection.

Appropriately coloured for Autumn in seasonal dark chocolate brown with contrasting white hearts or camel brown with chocolate hearts it is certainly an iconic look and design that both boys and girls are lusting after. The collection is made with the most luxurious materials; the softest silk and amazingly indulgent calfskin. Celebrities left, right and centre are donning the popular Burberry items, most memorable perhaps is the paparazzi shot of Harry Styles’ wearing his heart shirt out and about in London.

Christopher Bailey turned Burberry Prorsum into one of the most fashion-forward luxury labels in the world, while preserving the truly British heritage. This Autumn, get ready to fall in love with heart prints, as the label presents a ladylike print with attitude.

Zara’s new knitwear collection is making me detest winter 2013 just a little bit less. The varied range of jumpers and cardigans offer some stylish and affordable options for the colder months.

I originally noticed the Zara monochrome embroidered heart sweater in French Vogue, a rare highstreet appearance in this high fashion magazine. The heart emblem immediately caught my eye and I put it on my wishlist the moment I read in disbelief that it was from Zara. Simple but classic, it definitely looked more like a Prada or Burberry piece (they use the heart symbol throughout their Winter collection).

Wearable and warm it is the ideal jumper to take you from day to night, perfect with a high-waisted skirt or smock style dress. Priced at £35.99 it won’t break the bank like the designer alternatives.
