When I was invited to review Leticia Haute Coiffure, there was one treatment that stood out on the menu… the Swarovski Crystal Pedicure. As a nail art fanatic, I could not pass up the opportunity to try this extravagant pedicure, and counted down the days eagerly awaiting my appointment.

Leticia Haute Coiffure is a gorgeous beauty and hair salon in Marylebone, an area of London I adore. The hand-painted  purple Art Deco sign instantly appealed to me and I knew I’d appreciate the salon inside.

Visiting a few days before my long weekend in Morocco, it was ideal timing for toe adornment. Feeling smug and special, I was seated on a comfy leather sofa and given hot mint tea and biscuits. My feet lowered into the warm bubbly water and immediately softened. My beautician (who also seemed excited about the prospect of my soon to be sparkly feet) got to work efficiently filing my nails, trimming my cuticles and removing all the dead skin. I was pleased that she noticed I am not a heel-wearer commenting on the softness of my soles. Next my feet were coated in Parafin wax, placed in plastic bags and cosy mitts, a specialist technique I am becoming quite familiar with (and addicted to!). The effects are noticeable straightaway with the skin becoming silky and soft, it feels amazingly luxurious.

To ensure maximum longevity of the pedicure, my beautician applied the tiny glistening Swarovski crystals straight onto my nails – nail varnish underneath might cause the stones to chip off. It was a work of art, the most fabulous and glitzy pedicure you could ever wish for with hundreds of crystals each glued on individually.
